National Cyber Security Centre
The New Zealand National Cyber Security Centre provides enhanced services to government agencies and critical infrastructure providers to assist them to defend against cyber-borne threats.
The Centre is a key element of New Zealand's Cyber Security Strategy released in June this year. This strategy recognises that as New Zealand's use of the internet increases so too does our vulnerability to
cyber threats.
.
Countering these threats is a shared responsibility, and the government will work in partnership with industry, non-government entities and academia to improve New Zealand's cyber security. The NCSC's role is to protect government systems and information, to plan for and respond to cyber incidents, and to work with providers of critical national infrastructure to improve the protection and computer security of such infrastructure against cyber-borne threats.
Reporting an Incident:
If you are a New Zealand Government institution or a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) organisation and you have encountered or suspect a cyber threat, please complete and return an Incident Reporting form or speak with us directly on (04) 498-7654. All incident reports provided to the NCSC are treated in the strictest of confidence.
